The Great Thing about being old is you become so very aware of being alive. The awareness comes from everything hurts all the time. All. The. Time.
From the daily news email from Ammoland.com comes an Interview with Cody Wilson, the founder and driver of of Defense Distributed and the Wiki Weapon project. Do-it-yourself guns, which is mostly “legal”.
John Crump: What do you think about people who insist that the second amendment is not about a citizen’s right to own firearms?
Cody Wilson: Without exception these people are disingenuous and have studied the issue at least enough to know their ignorance comes from malice.

Jim Woosley forwarded an interesting item (with the comment “Take this potential smoking gun with a grain of salt, until there is better verification that it is a smoking gun…”):
Breaking: Malik Obama Tweets Alleged Barack Obama Birth Certificate in Kenya. With a copy of the alleged birth certificate. Now, nobody would fake a thing like that, would they? Silly question, of course they would. We live in The Age of Lies after all.
Jim also sent this link http://www.daybydaycartoon.com/comic/the-spies-who-shagged-us/#comments with the note: “Particularly look at the comments”. Yes, do!
And here is something to consider: “The Conflict Within The Deep State Just Broke Into Open Warfare” by “Tyler Durden” (who?!?!).
Sarah Hoyt has a excellent article at her blog about how she used to be afraid to speak freely to publishers, editors, and to fans at cons, lest they know she wasn’t a communist like they were, and therefore they would blacklist her. An excerpt:
I keep telling you that the big difference now is that we’re talking back, but until I stumbled on this (I was actually looking for a cute Heinlein reader meme) but even I had forgotten how much we DIDN’t talk back before.
Is it any wonder they look stunned? Is it any wonder they are in shock? Or that the escalation of their tantrums is getting crazy? They had all this power and—through technology, through different means of information, through sheer enough-is-enough—it all ran away between their fingers.
The whole thing is worth your time. Go to According To Hoyt and reflect on how those “liberals” (socialists, communists, marxists, progressives, fascists, totalitarians) used to have the world in their grasp.
And finally … no, really! Throughout this here little magazine, eZine, whatever you call it, you will see links to good ol’ Amazon.com for books (and sometimes other stuff). Please click on those links and buy those books (and other stuff), because that is the main way we stay “On The Air”. It helps!
Was that worth reading?
