Last week, we got gypped out of a piece by Mama Liberty. :( THIS week, we have a great one by her! :) [Link] Listen carefully Children—the title is "Now Hear This" for a damn good reason!

I'm seriously hearing impaired. Though I hear a lot of actual sound, inner ear damage from early childhood restricts how much of it I actually understand because I don't distinguish one sound from another very well. That is most troubling when listening to human speech, because the different sounds are usually quite subtle. I've had to read lips and watch body language all my life.

Now I am starting to experience other hearing loss from simple aging as well. So you can believe that I am very, VERY careful to maintain good hearing protection when I shoot. I've made the big mistake of firing a gun, or being nearby when one is fired without protection, and it has not happened often if I could do anything about it.

But yesterday, at the start of the weekly shooting clinic I host here, I had the misfortune to be exposed to that first shot without much protection at all. I fired a 9mm pistol at an indoor range. It hurt, and my ears buzzed for several hours.

MY hearing loss has been caused by three things—Loud music, a lot of shooting back before people spent a lot of time thinking about muffs, and I'm getting older. Read the whole article, and PLEASE take better care of your ears. Now, I gotta go crank some Metallica..........

IN an electoral repudiation, Gabby Gifford's seat has been taken by a hardcore pro-gun challenger. I guess Arizona is as sick of Gabby as WE are!! [ You got that right!—Editor ]

This one is amazing—this man was jailed for refusing to surrender his FaceBook password!! [Link]

(The Blaze) — Jeremy Alcede doesn't own Tactical Firearms shooting center anymore. Soon, he might not even own his Facebook page password.

Alcede was ordered to hand over his Facebook page's password to the new owners when the business went bankrupt. He refused to provide it and was subsequently arrested for contempt of court on Wednesday.

"When they said they wanted the Facebook, I explained to the attorney who was representing the company that there is no company Facebook page and there's just my personal page. And I asked her to convey that to the judge, and obviously it wasn't conveyed," Alcede told KTRK-TV.

While Alcede still owned the shooting center, though, he posted a number of politically related signs on the storefront, which he says helped him gain such online notoriety. Alcede is convinced that's why the new owners want access to his Facebook page.

But the store's new owner, John Boyert, told the outlet, "At the point in time, he was an employee of the company and he was building that for the company regardless of who is owner or not."

The judge has asked an outside party to count the number of personal posts as well as the number of business posts Alcede made in order to determine who will retain ownership of the page.

Ridiculous.

I shall now address the Sony hack, "The Interview", North Korea's pudgy, pathetic dictator-dipshit, and Hollywood caving to terrorist threats. Damn, but I hate to agree with George Clooney, Bill Mahr, and Mitt Romney, but refusing to open this movie as scheduled is bad for SOOO many reasons, it's hard to pick where to start. So all I'll say is "The First Amendment is as important as the 2nd—defend them both!" Romney said something smart (did I actually SAY that??? I'm trying not to puke.....) when he said that caving was bad. HIS idea (which my wife said, without the donation, three hours before I read Romney's tweet) was to immediately release the movie on the internet, for free, and ask each viewer to make a donation to fight Ebola. Or cancer, MS, MD, Liberal stupidity, Religious bigotry, or to fight the assault on both the 1st AND 2nd Amendments. 'Nuff said. An Armed (young) American does what needs doing, and his family is safe because of it. [Link]

Brothers Isai Delcid and Carlos Delcid attempted to break into a home in southeast Charlotte at around 5pm Tuesday when they crept around to the back porch and tried to get in through a window.

George Wyant's 14-year-old son confronted the robbers, ordering them to stop and telling them he had a gun. When the intruders ignored him, the boy quickly fired off his grandfather's Glock 380, killing Isai Delcid while his brother fled the scene.

Police later arrested Carlos Delcid having quickly tracked him down via his electronic monitor. He was already on probation for breaking into the same house twice in the past four months. According to WSOC-TV, the brothers had a background of criminal behavior and drug issues. Wyant said the likely target of the robbery was his wife's prescription pills.

Notice how well our beloved laws had protected the family—the survivor was ON PROBATION FOR ROBBING THE SAME DAMN HOUSE!!!!! Want to bet some brain dead idiot, commenting here, will excoriate the family because this 14 year old was able to access Grampa's gun totally ignoring that the lad saved his sick Gramma by doing so? In Liberal Kahleefourneeyah, the CHP has admitted the truth....... and the state is ignoring it. Ok, it isn't ignoring it, it's supporting it!!! [Link] The California Highway Patrol is ADVERTISING ITSELF as a paramilitary organization. And WE are the paranoid fools claiming our police are becoming too militarized?!

The CHP's adoption of this term is now so prevalent that the organization is openly using it as a recruiting tool for new employees.

A post entitled Is This Job for You? which appears on the CHP.gov website asks all new applicants for the role of CHP Cadet, "Are you willing to work in a para-military organization, operating under a structured chain-of-command?"

An information page on the website entitled Life at the Academy also states, "The California Highway Patrol is often described as a "paramilitary" department, and that is true. The uniforms, ranks and insignias, chain of command, and the long-standing traditions resemble a military organization."

If this does not scare you, I suggest you would be happier living somewhere else—a police state. The title of the linked article asks a question. The answer is "HELL NO!!" Watch the video—it only takes 1 min 8 sec. It's worth it. I've got to admit to confusion about this one. [Link] So, first, wonder-cop compares guns to Ebola, and his cops are the vaccine.

He nevertheless hopes the program will encourage people to think about gun violence as an infectious disease like Ebola, and a home inspection like a vaccine to help build up the city's immune system.

'Gun violence is as serious as the Ebola virus is being represented in the media, and we should fight it using the tools that we've learned from our health providers,' he said.

Does Washington State drug test police chiefs?? Then, he is trying to get people to VOLUNTARILY INVITE COPS IN TO SEARCH THEIR HOUSES FOR GUNS THE OWNERS "DIDN'T KNOW THEY HAD"!?!?

Jacobs said he hopes some searches will result in the discovery of guns they didn't know were in their own homes. He said that there's also a chance they'll find guns linked to crimes.

'That's really what we're looking for,' he said. 'Maybe we'll find a toy gun that's been altered by a youngster in the house —and we know the tragedies that can occur there on occasion.'

Is this idiot fucking serious??? Did Washington state legalize pot, and make it mandatory for their police to smoke it on duty? I thought Y'all might want to read about a different 2nd Amendment fight, currently taking place in NYC. [Link]; I really had a hard time believing this one, 'til I did a little research on it.

In 2010, at the direction of New York County District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance Jr. and Assistant District Attorney Dan Jack Rather, son of former CBS News anchor, Daniel Irvin "Dan" Rather Jr., efforts to arrest knife carriers were ramped-up, he said. The attorney general's office created a new gravity knife test that Ritter said subjectively clumps pocket knives into the illegal gravity knife category. A gravity knife, which is illegal to carry in New York State, is a knife that opens readily by force of gravity or application of centrifugal force.

City officials claim that if one can "wrist-click" the knife open then that is an illegal gravity knife because it opens by centrifugal force, said Ritter, who is founder, publisher and editor of Equipped to Survive, an online resource for independent reviews of survival equipment and outdoors gear.

"Regardless of whether that is centrifugal force or not, the issue is that there is no way for anyone to tell whether their folding knife is legal or not because there is no way to know that if you cannot open the knife that way, some cop or someone else can." This unprecedented move was really a publicity stunt for attention, power and cronyism, he said.

"The Manhattan District Attorney's office decided to go after a number of retailers that they alleged to be selling illegal gravity knives and switch blades which were simply the same pocket knives— folding knives — that were being sold everywhere else in the country and have always been perfectly legal."

Many of those Manhattan retailers were offered immunity from prosecution for a fixed-time period if they agreed to discontinue selling their pocket knives and if they donated a fixed-amount to Vance's knife education fund, he said. "The district attorney took this as a way to raise nearly $2 million into a fund — that he had control of — because most of the retailers agreed to pay to avoid prosecution." Other preferred retailers received preferential treatment, he said.

Arrest for possessing a pocket knife?? I thought I had seen everything. Gotta say, MOST of my pocket knives, with a little jeweler's rouge, a thorough cleaning, and a liberal application of oil, open with a wrist flick—except for my assisted opening knives (like the SOG Trident III that currently rides in my right pocket) that are designed to open with the flip of a thumb-stud. Because if I need a knife quickly, or in a crawlspace, or while I'm under a sink, tractor, or truck, I want the damn thing to open easily, one handed, so I can keep doing whatever it is I need to be doing with the other hand.

A scattered Quote—"Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars."—Unknown

Many of us watched with anger when this psychopathic nutjob took over a coffee shop in Sydney, Australia the other day. And MOST of the intelligent people had to wonder why the hell one scumbag with a gun gets to hold 16 people without guns............. Oh, wait—They didn't have guns. So he could do whatever he wanted. Australia USED to be a land where people had the right to be armed, just like WE used to. But THEY went even farther than we have (so far). They pretty much outlawed the armed civilian, in response to a mass shooting. (Sound familiar, New York, Connecticut, and Colorado?) So 16 people, at least 2 of whom are dead (who gives a flying fuck about the perpetrator—it pisses me off when hostage takers, mass shooters, and suicide bombers are listed as part of the death toll... but I digress) because NOT ONE OF THEM WAS "PERMITTED" BY THEIR LORDS AND MASTERS TO POSESS AND CARRY THE MEANS OF SELF DEFENSE. And too many idiots have called me a cowboy, or John Wayne Wannabe, or tiny-dicked asshole for advocating carry—open OR concealed, without worrying about permission from ANY government official. Well, it is time, and past time, for the American Citizen to take back the streets of our villages, towns, and even cities, day OR night. Perhaps a lot of open carry rallies would do the trick. NOT rallies begging our masters to permit open carry—rallies where we, one and all, carry open—loaded for bear and not willing to take any shit from uniformed thugs. Fuck peaceful disobedience if they try to take them. Shotguns, rifles, pistols, clubs, knives, swords, whatever weapon you own. Maybe we need to start the ball rolling........

I'd like to thank all the readers who've sent me comments regarding last week's bit about the Wyoming pharmacist, where I said "This is WY-freaking-OMING!! Open carry is unlicensed, concealed carry is easy. It's just a shame the pharmacist missed anything vital.............." They all said variations on this:

Neither open OR concealed carry require any license in Wyoming. :)Cheyenne has become a socialist satellite of Denver, unfortunately, butthere are still lots and LOTS of people there who are armed at alltimes. This "robber" must have come from somewhere else... like California....

and

Neale: Wyoming has constitutional carry for residents. No CCW needed. And"no guns" signs have no legal standing unless the business posts guards and has metal detectors ( they can trespass you, at most ).The Wyoming government issues CCWs so residents can obtain permits and drive into CO and NE without having to trunk their firearms to obey those two states' unconstitutional laws. And yes, Wyoming does need to stop discriminating against non-residents.They have to open carry unless they have a reciprocal permit.

OOPS!! My mistake, my friends. So sorry!

It IS a tragedy, but it WASN'T what the article claims.... [Link] It claims a .38 handgun "went off" when placed on the table. Bullshit. A .38 is nearly always a revolver. You have to cock a revolver and pull the trigger for an easy shot, or engage in a long, hard DA trigger pull to shoot the gun. So for the gun to "go off" when put down, it would have to have been cocked first (really stupid), then he'd have to accidentally hit the trigger during the process. AND he would have had to point the gun at himself while doing so. No, this whole mess comes down to one of three scenarios—he was playing around with the gun, and accidentally shot himself. He was careless, and forgot he'd cocked the gun while searching the house (which you should never do in the first place—carrying a cocked revolver is frigging asinine). Or he committed suicide, and people are trying to cover for him. No matter how it happened, the anti-gunners will call this an excuse to ban another gun, or demand more background checks, or licenses, or whatever.

Und now, Ve take on ze Quote of Ze Veek. Ve vill use quotes by zhose "Right thinking people" who despise private ownership of guns because, well, gun owners might kick us out of our positions!!

"The measures adopted to restore public order are: First of all, the elimination of the so-called subversive elements .... They were elements of disorder and subversion. On the morrow of each conflict I gave the categorical order to confiscate the largest possible number of weapons of every sort and kind. This confiscation, which continues with the utmost energy, has given satisfactory results." —Benito Mussolini

"All we ask for is registration, just like we do for cars."—Charles Shumer

"A gun-control movement worthy of the name would insist that President Clinton move beyond his proposals for controls ... and immediately call on Congress to pass far-reaching industry regulation like the Firearms Safety and Consumer Protection Act ... [which] would give the Treasury Department health and safety authority over the gun industry, and any rational regulator with that authority would ban handguns." —Josh Sugarmann (executive director of the Violence Policy Center)

"All political power comes from the barrel of a gun. The communist party must command all the guns, that way, no guns can ever be used to command the party." —Mao Tse Tung

"If I could have banned them all —'Mr. and Mrs. America turn in your guns' —I would have!" —Diane Feinstein

"I don't believe people should to be able to own guns."—Barack Obama (during conversation with economist and author John Lott Jr. at the University of Chicago Law School in the 1990s)

"I don't care if you want to hunt, I don't care if you think it's your right. I say 'Sorry.' it's 1999. We have had enough as a nation. You are not allowed to own a gun, and if you do own a gun I think you should go to prison." —Rosie O'Donnell (At about the time she said this, Rosie engaged the services of a bodyguard who applied for a gun permit.)

"Outside of the killings, Washington has one of the lowest crime rates in the country." —Mayor Marion Barry, Washington, DC

Jah! Forget history, foolish Americans! My successors VILL enslave your children....They are already working in your government to succeed! Heil Me! (This is what happens when I let an insane dead German fuhrer borrow my computer for a few minutes!) G'Bye, ALL. Have a great Christmas, Hannukah, or even Kwanzaa. Merry Gravmas to all!
