Only the Zero Aggression Principle, and
the freedom it generates, can save us from
the same oblivion that swallowed the Sumerians,
the Babylonians, the Egyptians, the ancient
Greeks, the Romans, and the British

You have my permission to use this letter as you will, and at this point I don't believe it makes any difference whether it's attributed to me or not, since I intend to send it to my Senators and Congressman (and to anyone else whom I think might listen), even if No Such Agency weren't listening in. In particular, you may send it intact, or use it as the basis of, a letter to your own Senators or Congressperson.
Dear (Senator or Congressman)
During the two weeks of the government "shutdown" initiated by the effort to defund, or at least delay portions of, the ill-conceived Affordable Care Act, we have watched an astounding array of responses from this Administration, including:
1. Closing the open-air War memorials on the National Mall to American veterans, while opening the law to a rally on illegal immigration supported by the Administration.
2. The closure of roads to private leased business and residences on federal property, forcing people out of their homes, closing business.
3. The closure of NON-federal roads and properties.
4. Most egregiously, the interpretation of the Administration of the act maintaining pay and benefits for the military during this period, so as to deny death benefits to our brave soldiers killed in action, until this action backfired.
Having watched this, and further contemplated the disastrous rollout of the system by which individuals are mandated to purchase health insurance under the Affordable Care Act, including the cancellation of hundreds of thousands of existing insurance policies and the massive increase of fees imposed on insurance buyers in order to meet the arbitrary minimum requirements for coverage under "Obamacare," I have been forced to a conclusion.
I do not want -- no sane person would want -- their health care, their very life, under the capricious control of an Administration that would behave as the Obama Administration has behaved during the past two weeks. If they block access to the World War II memorial to veterans on their Honor Flights; if they block access to homes of people who leased federal property, there is nothing to stop them from blocking access to health care to anybody, at any time, for any reason.
Obamacare must be stopped, utterly, totally, and finally, and such abject control over people's lives must never again be contemplated by the Constitutional government of the Republic of the United States.
I am well aware that the Administration and its allies in the Senate are holding the solvency of the United States hostage to the efforts to defund Obamacare by refusal of any separate deal of raising the debt limit of the United States. I know that I personally and many people I know are suffering financially because of this situation. There are no good solutions; hence there is only the right and just solution:
Stop Obamacare now, because it will only get worse if it goes forward.

Once They Deny You This One Constitutional Right, What Would Stop Them from Taking the Rest?

So anyhow a FaceBook correspondent posted a mistranslation of Matthew 18:6. The correct translation is:
American Standard Bible
So in a Father Sarducci voice you may be saying. "Thassa nice," and wondering why I am posting this here. Well, several of us have posted comments and reposted articles about teachers using curriculae (Latin Snob) hostile to liberty. I also want to point out that I am a Believer (not a good practitioner of ritual obligations, but a Believer.) Part of my Faith, not necessarily sanctioned by any faith, sect, or cult, is the belief that freedom, the love of freedom, and our natural rights are indeed gifts of the True God. I would also submit that teaching kids to give up their liberty, love of liberty, and rights as part of being a "good citizen" or "decent person" is causing "little ones" to stumble.
Got some really big rocks?
Re: Nazi Gun Control
Don't forget their rewriting of history at the end of the movie Schindler's List. The movie would have you believe the Nazis refrained from slaughtering the Jews out of the goodness of their hearts, rather than because the Jews had armed themselves.
I like this quote:
"Dying even futilely defending yourself, your family, and your group
has an honor and a dignity to it that is not vouchsafed by being
helplessly slaughtered. Thus even if none had escaped from the Warsaw
or Vilna Ghettos or the Sobibor extermination camp, those who took
vengeance there honored themselves, their families, and their people."

First off, good for Mr. Obama. He needed to win the Budget Fight. I don't like what he got in the budget, but needed the win. After the set of lumps he took on victim disarmament and his plans to bomb Syria losing this fight would have destroyed his presidency. The truth is that if he were prime minister instead of president he would have lost a vote of no confidence over Syria. Congrats on the win, may it be your last on any issue we disagree on.
Mr. Obama suggested that if the GOP wanted to change things they should win an election. Hopefully this be taken as a challenge and acted on. Better yet, hopefully the people will get rid of the establishment politicians.
Noticed that a man was attacked by three coyotes in Boulder, Colorado. Coyotes should run from humans because they fear us as predators, not attacking adult men. Time to start turning some yodel dogs into coat liners. The newscasters gave good advice on how people without guns can and should scare off aggressive coyotes. Guns work better, both in defense and in hunting coyotes to convince them to avoid people.
Congrats to an enemy on a win. Hopefully his opponents in office are preparing their comeback. Varmints should fear people, not hunt us.
