When you see three police cars pulled over at the side of a city
street to deal with a single bicycle rider, you know there are too many cops. Every
day we hear of some act of brutality carried out by federal, state, or local "law
enforcement" against individuals or groups whose only crime was the exercise of
their unalienable individual, civil, Constitutional, and human rights. "Policemen"
at every level of government have become, more than any mere military organization,
the "standing army" hated and feared by America's Founders.
The 2009 Declaration of Independence
by Thomas Jefferson and Russell D. Longcore
I took the original Declaration of Independence, written by
Thomas Jefferson, and added wording to customize it for the present day. Please
read it carefully and contemplate its meaning and its ramifications. My new
version still needs more work, but it is a place to start.
Solving ALL the World's ProblemsNOW!
by Dennis Lee Wilson
There has been a big debate on some "libertarian" discussion
groups about who did what to whom in the Gaza strip. Personally I am grossed out
and thoroughly tired of peopleclaiming to be libertarianswho think that
I can be swayed to embrace THEIR particular totalitarian cause if I am deluged
with enough pictures of dead people in Gaza or dead people in Auschwitz.
Shame on Us
by A.X. Perez
We who read and write to TLE on a regular basis pride
ourselves on our love of liberty. We call ourselves libertarians, a name derived
from liberty. We state our opposition to our current government because it fails
to help us protect our liberty. We get on our rulers' collective case for failing
to protect liberty.

Fellow Prisoners! Make damn sure you backup everything
important to you on your computer at least monthly. Daily would be better.
New Years eve my computer spontaneously took its own life. It was the first
time I actually used a fire extinguisher for it's intended purpose in my
home. Very bad. I lost the whole shootin' match folks. Including the backup
device with the media inserted. I am a month behind now on everything as
that was my most recent viable full backup.
