What Ever Happened to TV?
by L. Neil Smith
I haven't had cable TV for years, owing to a nasty little bait and
switch routine one of the big companies tried to pull on me. As a sort
of historian -- or at least a close observer of the human condition --
I've been fortunate, because of this, to witness the collapse of an
American institution that has deserved to collapse for a long, long
time. I refer, of course, to broadcast network television.
Ernie, Bernie and Me
by Jim Lesczynski
Imagine my surprise when I was looking for a title for the chronicle of
my recent adventures, and I noticed that "Guns For Tots" was already
taken in an old issue of The Libertarian Enterprise. I thought the name
was my original creation, but maybe it was buried deep in my
subconscious all along.

"When will it end? How can we return to a time when there are no terror
alerts, no Department of Homeland Security?" One of the Republican talk-show whores uttered
this question this week. As is increasingly the case, the host's conclusions were 100% wrong.
She's Dead ... Wrapped in Plastic
by John Taylor
(New Berlin, Untied Statists of Amerika) -- "Lady Liberty", the icon of
Amerikan freedom, was found dead today, apparently asphyxiated. She was
wrapped head to foot in regulation plastic and red duct tape. Forensic
specialists are examining the body for signs of rape, though it appears
that she expired without a struggle.
