Number 160, February 11, 2002 Cetius, Altius, Fortius A Foolish war -- Protest Song: "I Don't Want To Be A Good Citizen"by Keith Shugarts
Special to TLE I was driving down, sober, towards the Florida Keys when one of the faceless propoganda patriots came on the radio and said that it was every good citizen's duty to support the war and stand behind the President. After having vented volumes of words that would curl the ear hair of the "bad word" censored populace, I began singing and this is what resulted - it is best sung as a combination Irish Drinking, Oi, Punk, Ska Reggae tune, or something like that. (Warning - if you regularly listen to government controlled television, some of these words might sound rather new and strange to you, do not be afraid, they will not hurt you.)
Bio: Keith took a little time off from writing to drive around, lounge around at some undisclosed and unprofileable location, and buy some tools to protect his liberty. He graduated with a degree in history from the College of Charleston - all the good that did what with his horrible grammer and spelling.
